Storytella

Introducing typography

Few people give all that much thought to typography, but the truth is how you present and format text has a big impact on your book’s readability.

Storytella uses its own text styling functionality and Markdown which, combined, allows you to format text easily using special characters within your prose. That means fewer disruptive mouse clicks to prettify the page, leaving you free to focus on your composition.

Markdown is a common command language used by web developers and writers alike. It allows you to add typography and formatting using easy to read, easy to write plain text that converts upon export. You won’t see it in the editor itself but it will become visible when you preview your work.

How to use Storytella text styling

Storytella lets you add key commands that convert once you save your work. For example Storytella will automatically turn standard “ to curly ones and update … (three dots in a row) to a single ellipsis.

You can use it anywhere apart from the Entity name and Property name fields.
